Interactons Between worlds

The old world meets the new world. In 1450 large parts of the world still weren't discovered. the two worlds remained isolated from one another until 1492 when christopher columbus accidentally discovered "the new world" while looking for Asia.

The consequences of these two worlds meeting were good and bad. The colonization of the americas had begun, the European explorers brought food, plants and animals during the Columbian exchange introducing their ideas . But along with their brilliant ideas they also brough many diseases like; smallpox, inflenza, typhus , and the whooping cough, not to mention the practice of slavery. They literally destroyed the natives culture.

The Europeans had such a major effect on the natives, it was the beginning of the end for the natives and the destruction of the early americans. the europeans thought they were superior to the natives , they tried to change the natives culture and introduce them to their own. then land became a huge issue, it was private ownership vs common property, the settlers wanted to keep the native off of what they considered now their land,in the end both worlds went to war .

In my opinion, there was good and bad consequences from the these two worlds meeting, the bad consequence was the destruction of the native culture. But the good outcome of this event was , if the european settlers didn't contribute to the columbian exchange, todays society probably wouldn't have all the nessicary resources we have now ,in which we use to live a comfortable lifestyle.

Out of all the explorers I've researched I would say , Christopher Columbus, had the most dramatic impact on the new world, because even though it was an accident, he discovered the natives and their land. He sought out to find Asia but instead found this new land , which made the european happy because it meant new land for new development. He didn't even consider the natives opinion because he thought the europeans were better than them, that they could learn from them. I think he contributed the most to the columbian exchange because he introduced his ideas to the rest of the world, in which making them want to also contribute to the columbian exchange.
